Screw Conveyor

A screw conveyor is a mechanism that uses a spiral blade that rotates inside a tube/tube or a U-shaped groove (called a "wheel") to move the powder and granular materials. Screw conveyors and augers are used in many bulk material handling industries. It is often used in modern industry as an efficient means of moving different materials horizontally or at a slight angle.

They usually consist of grooves or U-shaped tubes with spiral blades on the shaft, one end driven and the other fixed. The volumetric flow is proportional to the rotational speed of the shaft. In industrial control applications, this device is often used as a variable speed feeder by changing the rotational speed of the shaft to provide the measured speed or the precise amount of material in the process. Therefore, augers are specially designed for loss-and-gain weighing for material weighing applications.

Features:-

  • EASY TO CLEAN: Simply open the hinged cover to access the auger/screw
  • Heavy duty construction
  • Bottom cleanout for ease of drain in wash-down
  • Efficiently distributes bulk materials to various locations using multiple inlet and discharge points/strongs.
  • Totally enclosed for dusty, corrosive or hazardous environments
  • Fully portable (caster wheel design)
